Malta Crown International Boarding school has been successfully operating since 1999. Malta Crown is located in the center of the popular tourist town of St. Julians, located just north of the capital of Malta - Valletta.

    If a minor child is sent to Malta to study, the family has the opportunity to send with them for the entire period of study an ACCOMPANYING PERSON - one of the parents, grandparents.

    The accompanying person will be issued the appropriate visas based on the long-term study of the child in a Maltese educational institution.

EDUCATION

ATTENDANCE IN THE 1st HALF OF THE SCHOOL DAY training in the education programme from 8-00 to 14-00 with meals / without meals.

ATTENDANCE IN THE 2nd HALF OF THE SCHOOL DAY teaching English with native speakers, an additional education programme that develops leisure from 14-00 to 20-00 with meals / without meals; help with homework, individual tutoring in general subjects in English.

EDUCATION PROGRAMMES
The programme for children aged 5-7 years "Preparation for school" in English is aimed at the solid formation and development of a number of skills necessary for successful education in the future.
Students study according to the British international education programmes "Cambridge Primary Curriculum" (year 1 - year 6) and IGCSE (year 7 - year 13).
The study of English takes place in groups formed by the level of language proficiency and psychological compatibility of children, and not by age, as in many educational institutions.

English Language Programme in Malta Crown consists of several components:

· Preparation for international exams Cambridge, IELTS
· The practice of English in the classes of additional education
· Leisure in English

Optionally, it is possible to study a second foreign language.
The school is able to quickly and accurately respond to the educational requests of the family, solving the problems of personal development of children through a system of extracurricular education, which involves organizing meaningful leisure activities for students.

Active participation in extra curricular education contributes to the adaptability of students to life in society, the formation of a common culture and the development of individual abilities.

FEATURES OF TRAINING AND EDUCATION
Individual approach

Up to 8 people study in classes, so the teacher has time to conduct individual work with each student during the lesson.

The system of additional education is implemented through classes in specialized groups. The profile group is selected based on the results of career guidance and the interests of the student. Each profile group implements thematic projects under the guidance of a mentor and tutor.
Tutoring programme
Tutors are involved in the education and upbringing of children, who provide psychological support to their pupils, communicate with each child, monitor the completion of homework at self-study hours, carefully monitor his/her progress in learning.
Individual educational route
At the beginning of training, the student undergoes a series of tests, teachers communicate with the student and parents, a real picture of the student's abilities, his interests and goals is compiled, and the student's knowledge of general subjects is revealed.
For every student in Malta Crown creates an individual educational route, taking into account his / her preparation and the degree of proficiency in English.

If necessary, additional classes are provided in those subjects that cause difficulties or require in-depth study.

The individual training programme for each of the students is adjusted in real time by methodologists of the school based on his performance.
COMFORTABLE DAILY ROUTINE
The first half of the day
From breakfast to lunch, general education is taught and students attend lessons according to the teaching program of the appropriate class.
Afternoon
Part of the day from lunch to dinner (including the necessary break for rest) is designed for English classes with native speakers in groups formed by the level of knowledge, as well as the implementation of additional education programs, self-training classes.
Evening leisure
After dinner, children have time for leisure, which is used for organized walks, participation in school-wide events, recreation, sports
ACCOMMODATION IN A BOARDING HOUSE
The school is located in a 4-storey building with separate areas for education and living. The school building is equipped for year-round living and teaching children and meets all official requirements for educational institutions and boarding schools. Boys and girls live on different floors in 2-3-bed cozy rooms.
TUITION COSTS FOR THE 2024-25 ACADEMIC YEAR
GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Classes are held on weekdays (Mon-Fri) in the first half of the school day (from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm).
Qualified teachers conduct classes based on the general education programmes:
"Cambridge Primary Curriculum” (year 1- year 6) / "International General certificate of secondary education - IGCSE" (year 7- year 13 )
The cost includes:

  • Study of core subjects according to the curriculum "Cambridge Primary Curriculum” (year 1- year 6) / "International General certificate of secondary education - IGCSE" (year 7- year 13 );
  • Preparation for IGCSE is integrated into the curriculum;
  • Participation in outdoor sports events;
  • Weekly academic progress reports.

Not included in the cost:

  • The career orientation course and testing (275 euros).
  • The preparation course for participation in school subject Olympiads of partner universities (495 euros).
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMME
Classes are held on weekdays (Mon-Fri) in the second half of the school day (from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm)
After attending the general education program in the first half of the school day, students stay on at school to enhance their English language skills.
The program is mandatory for children for whom English is not their native language.
The cost includes:

  •  "General English" Course
Highly qualified English language teachers conduct classes in groups based on proficiency levels. This course involves studying English with native speakers, utilizing English-language textbooks and workbooks, and includes a Cambridge FCE, KET, PET exam preparation course (excluding exam fees) / an IELTS exam preparation course (excluding exam fees).
  • Enrichment sessions with native English speakers
English language training is provided in groups formed based on age, interests, and psychological compatibility of students. This component includes participation in educational extracurricular activities in English, preparation and involvement in English language Olympiads, as well as participation in projects conducted in English.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR PROGRAMME
Classes are held on weekdays (Mon-Fri) in the second half of the school day (from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm) at the request of the student's parents.
The programme cost comprises selected courses and additional education subjects.

List of courses and additional education subjects:

  • Additional individual lessons in subjects:
- English language: 25 euros per academic hour
- Individual preparation for the IELTS certificate exam: 30 euros per academic hour
- General education subjects (individual lessons): 25 euros per academic hour
- General education subjects (in groups of up to 5 people): 10 euros per academic hour
  • Tutor support (tutors provide support to the child in all areas and communicate with parents on a daily basis): 300 euros per month.
  • Career orientation course and testing: 275 euros per year.
  • Preparation course for participation in school subject Olympiads of partner universities: 310 euros / 495 euros per year.
The school is prepared to arrange classes based on individual student requests for an additional fee.
PROGRAMME "EXTENDED DAY" (after school care service).
A personalized schedule is crafted for each student based on their interests and age, for the second half of the school day (from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm)
The "EXTENDED DAY" programme includes:
  • Completing homework under the guidance of warranted teachers,
  • Individual programme of extra-curricular developing creative leisure "Time to develop” (arts and crafts, theatrical performances, reading and storytelling, physical education, games, walks, cooking classes, activities in the school science club, educational talks and workshops, participation in projects, competitions, volunteer work).
The cost of the programme is included in the programme "BOARDING HOUSE ACCOMMODATION".
For children who do not live in a boarding house, the cost is 7 euros/hour
FAMILY SUPPORT (Family office)
The school offers the following services:
  • Selection of an apartment for a family to live when moving or accompanying the child during the period of education
  • Arrangement of Maltese health insurance for the student and family members when applying for a visa / residence
  • Selection and booking of hotels for the period of stay in Malta
  • Selection of curricula in language schools for parents during their stay in Malta
