Over the weekend, the Primary and Secondary School students visited Fort St. Angelo, located in the heart of the Grand Harbour.

The fort is one of the most significant historical monuments in the country.

Originally known as Castrum Maris, the fort was converted in the 16th century by the Knights of St. John into their main residence and became a key defensive structure during the Great Siege of 1565. The exhibition includes dioramas, multimedia installations and interactive displays covering the various stages of the fort’s history, including its use by the British Navy in the 20th century and the damage it sustained during World War II.
