Europe Day

Several days ago, Malta, like many European countries, hosted ceremonial events dedicated to Europe Day.

The main purpose of this holiday is to demonstrate the cultural diversity of the European continent and its unity. In Malta, this day is celebrated on a large scale: concerts, educational programs, public events, and memorial ceremonies are organized.

It is noteworthy that on May 8, 1945, World War II ended in Europe — the act of Germany’s unconditional surrender was signed.

This date holds special historical significance for Malta. During the war, the island found itself at the epicenter of military actions in the Mediterranean and endured severe bombings. The courage of local residents and the defenders of the island became a symbol of unbending fortitude and strength of spirit.

In honor of this event, Malta Crown School hosted a thematic quiz.
