The tour of Argotti Gardens

Main news All news
On Friday, students visited one of the island's oldest scientific sites — Argotti Gardens.

To prepare for this trip, they had studied a special guidebook created by our methodologists, filled with interesting historical and scientific facts about botany and the history of this place.
oday, Argotti Gardens is:

🌱 A botanical garden and a research-educational centre of the University of Malta — since 1996;
🌱 A state historical public park open to all visitors;
🌱 A living collection of botanical species with deep historical roots.

Malta Crown School expresses its sincere gratitude to the staff of Argotti Gardens for their active support in implementing our educational concept during this excursion.

This is why the tour of Argotti Gardens was essentially structured as a small interdisciplinary research activity at the intersection of history, science, botany, and philosophy.

Each House presented its own unique take on the tasks from the study guidebook.

But the main result of this team competition is not just acquiring specific facts; it is understanding how important it is to be able to observe independently, ask research questions, look for evidence, and draw conclusions.
