March 10, our students visited the city of Rabat, a suburb of the old capital of Malta, Mdina.
Rabat is famous for its ancient catacombs, which were originally intended for burials during the time of Malta's Roman Empire.
Part of the St. Paul's Catacombs was mentioned in the Bible. It is believed that St. Paul stayed there for three months when he was shipwrecked on the island in 60 AD.
During the trip, the kids were able to take a closer look at the archaeological finds that are stored in the St Paul's Catacombs Archaeological Museum.
