What does "memories" of the planet mean?
The children learned about the PALEOSIM project, which uses computer models to reconstruct Earth's landscapes and climate in the distant past, based on research in various scientific fields. The models allow them to understand how even minor changes can lead to global upheavals.
Recognizing how deeply our planet depends on human activity is a step in developing our students' skills for social participation and global citizenship.
