August 24th

On Saturday, the summer camp participants had a fascinating excursion to the island of Gozo.

The process of traveling on a high-speed ferry that runs between the two islands by sea was already fascinating.

On the island of Gozo, the children visited the most famous sights.
First of all, they went to one of the most ancient megalithic temples in Malta - Ggantija (It-Tempji tal-Ä gantija). This temple complex was created from giant stone slabs in the Neolithic era and is called the "tower of giants".
No less interesting was the museum exposition, where they saw many interesting artifacts from the Neolithic era.
Another attraction that the children got to know was an old windmill.
It was built in 1725 by order of the Grand Master Manuel de Vilhena, and in 1992 it became a museum.
And this educational journey ended with a visit to the famous Basilica of Our Lady of Ta' Pinu, located near the village of Arb.
