On October 25, students from grades 3 to 6 visited the EcoHive Academy, an important environmental center located in Marsaskala.
This key ecological site includes several facilities dedicated to recycling and reusing waste, playing a significant role in improving Malta’s ecosystem. Among EcoHive’s initiatives is the establishment of reuse centers, where items ranging from toys to furniture can be donated or purchased. These centers help reduce landfill waste, promoting a circular economy.

EcoHive organized an environmental quiz for the children, consisting of a series of questions on ecology and waste recycling.
Following the quiz, EcoHive led an active game where children used tablets to scan barcodes. Each barcode revealed a question about waste recycling, and the children had to answer, demonstrating their knowledge of proper sorting and recycling practices. This interactive activity made learning more engaging, helping the children grasp essential ecological principles by turning the process into a fun game.
At the end of the event, each participant received a small souvenir: colorful bee-themed magnets and a memory game.
