Day 1 & 2 - Getting Acquainted with Valletta — the Capital of the Knights' Island

🌟 Getting Acquainted with Valletta — the Capital of the Knights' Island

🏰During an English lesson, the students studied a map of the city and independently created a walking tour route through Valletta's main landmarks.

This unique city was built by the knights of the Order of Hospitallers on the island of Malta in the 16th century and still retains the spirit of the Middle Ages.

The city's layout is striking: when viewed from above, it resembles a chessboard! Narrow streets intersect at right angles, creating a strict geometric order.

🎓During the class, the children not only learned many interesting facts about the history of the island but also memorized directions. Now they can easily navigate this historic city during a real walk!
During the excursion, the children took an amazing journey into the past thanks to the modern 5D cinema in Valletta.

The children not only learned many interesting facts about the exciting historical events that took place on the island over thousands of years — they felt them with their whole body thanks to special effects: moving chairs, splashes of water, air currents, and even scents.

The children were especially impressed by the episode about the Great Siege of 1565, when the knights defended the island!
