Right after the «Steps of Knowledge» conference, our school hosted another international project — a student exchange programme under Erasmus+.
Erasmus+ Programme, named after the great thinker Erasmus of Rotterdam, enables a deeper understanding of diverse educational approaches across Europe.
This year, Malta Crown School welcomed students from the French Lycée Saint Joseph in Oloron-Sainte-Marie.
The interest in our school, where children from over ten countries, including Russia, study, stems from the opportunity to practice foreign languages taught at Lycée Saint Joseph — English and Russian — in a natural language environment.

- To explore the culture of another country
- To make friends around the world
- To enhance their language skills
- To gain experience living in an international environment

As part of this project, the senior students at Malta Crown created an English presentation for their French visitors, exploring the historical ties between Malta and France.
The second work, presented as a captivating theatrical performance, explored the influence of the Russian Emperor Paul I on the course of historical events in Malta at the end of the 18th — beginning of the 19th centuries, and consequently, on European politics as a whole.
The students of Malta Crown convincingly demonstrated how the personal interests of monarchs could impact international relations of that time. It is known that from an early age, the emperor was fascinated by the history of the Order of the Maltese Knights, and many of his political decisions were directly connected with the ideas of chivalric duty.
For the French students, it was particularly significant that the theatrical performance was conducted in Russian, as Saint Joseph Lycée teaches Russian as a third foreign language. For them, this was an excellent opportunity for language practice, reinforced by the emotional acting skills of their peers.

The French lycée students also organized an engaging event, presenting a brief French language course that highlighted the similarities between French vocabulary and words in different European languages.
Subsequently, all participants engaged in diverse team-based tasks conducted in French, Russian, and English. The activities “Guess the Word Meaning” and “Explain the Word” particularly captivated the students.
